Our son started Montessori school at 23 months old. Coming from a very sheltered life and had never been placed in daycare, always with family, his start to school was a rocky one. I remember him crying many times at drop off and pick up. However, Mrs. Krishnan as his primary teacher helped him adjust to his new surroundings and eventually blossom into an inquisitive, knowledge seeking, confident young boy. She along with the other teachers were nurturing when he needed comfort away from family, yet Mrs. Krishnan was persistent with all of her efforts to help him develop a love for learning. She saw potential in our son that we did not know was possible and was able to bring out that potential within months after he started school.
